About Tracey
Tracey Moneta was born and raised in Southern California where her fascination for horses began at a very early age and grew to a life long passion. From riding ponies on the beach, competing on the Hunter/Jumper circuit to becoming an accomplished Dressage rider and instructor, horses have, and continue to remain an integral part of her life.
Along with her passion for horses Tracey discovered early on she had an affinity for drawing which she pursued through elementary school, High School and then a Fine Arts degree from Scripps College in Claremont Ca. She competed in art competitions, provided pen and ink drawings for Newport Beach chamber of commerce tourist brochures, created her High School graduation announcements, and also accepted numerous commissions.
Marriage after college, multiple moves and 3 daughters later Tracey’s art was put on the back burner as her focus turned to them. The horse gene was apparently strong as all 3 daughters grew up sharing their Mother’s passion for horses and became accomplished horsewomen.
Recently Tracey decided to refocus her energy back to her art by accepting commissions in both graphite, color pencil, and more recently painted glass pieces. She also offers prints and other products featuring what she lovingly calls her ‘doodles’.
Currently Tracey and her husband Jim reside in OR, with their 2 dogs, Sadie and Nala. When they’re not working they enjoy exploring the beautiful PNW camping, visiting wineries and entertaining friends and their blended family of 5 daughters, and 5 grandchildren.
